**** Be absolutely sure to check and compare your plugs before purchasing. This plug style was not used in all of the supported vehicles and is usually misspurchased. Don't make the same mistake! Please DO NOT buy this radio before checking your plugs or contacting a Ford dealer with your VIN. ****

This is for a 2005 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer AM FM CD player radio that has been professionally remanufactured and upgraded with an auxiliary 3.5mm input. Please confirm that these are the mounting brackets and plugs you need before purchasing. Some of these vehicles used more than one style of radio.

*** Please note: that this radio will not work with Audiophile or Shaker systems. ***

The Auxiliary Input is a snap to operate. Literally! Just plug in your 3.5mm cable and it will play in full crisp clean quality. When you want to listen to the radio again simply unplug the cable! The audio is full quality and takes advantage of all sound controls on the radio. Forget those shoddy FM transmitters and listen to music the way it's supposed to sound! If you have any questions about the operation of the jack please feel free to call!

This radio has been cleaned, serviced as needed, and thoroughly checked. No codes are required, it will plug and play!

Great Replacement

I needed to replace the factory radio. This unit fit like a glove and was easy to install. I also opted for auxiliary port unit since I didn't use all 6 preset buttons. This will allow me to plug in mp3 players, etc.
