Replacing the radio/CD player in my 2014 Chevy Cruze was relatively easy, but getting it to actually work was tricky. I ordered one from 1Factory Radio using only the vehicle's VIN. It turned out to be a mistake; it wouldn't even power up. On the second try, I had the GM part number from the original radio, so I exchanged the unit for one that was an exact match with the original. That one powered up, but didn't work. All the came up on the screen was the word "locked". 1Factory Radio sells refurbished radios that are at least nominally unlocked, but be aware that if you install one, it may not work in a "plug and play" way. You may have to take it to a dealer to have it re-coded before it will function properly. In my case that cost an extra hundred bucks, but the total cost is still probably less than it would cost to have a dealer do the whole job. Just be aware that your system may not work automatically upon installation.
